You can’t copyright game mechanics. Look at all the scrabble clones, and try as much as Hasbro tries, they are legally entitled to exist. Now certain aspects you can (Scrabble for example, the exact point values and placement of the multiplier squares) but in this case, the gameplay is based on real life. You can’t copyright the obvious as well. I hope this goes to court and EA loses big time.
